CHILDREN with life-threatening illnesses recently had their wishes granted with a top day out in Blackpool.
Youngsters from the Make-A-Wish Foundation, nominated charity of the International Year of the Carousel, were treated to their wish -- a day out at Blackpool Tower and Circus on account of its highly unusual merry-go-round.
In conjunction with the show's spectacular water finale, an inflatable carousel grows to full size in just 15 seconds and is suspended above the circus ring which is filled with water as glamorous Circusettes dive in.
The children from the foundation spent the day enjoying various attractions in the Tower before sitting down to watch the circus, complete with award winning international performers and of course Mooky The Clown!
After the show, they took part in a circus workshop where they were taught how to juggle and spin plates among other tricks.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is the largest wish granting organisation in the world, and through its affiliates around the globe, grants wishes to children under the age of 18 who have life threatening illnesses.
