The Wigan side scored twice to lead for the first time before Lyndon Robertson pulled the try count back level.
The Most Improved Player award went to Philip Taylor.
East's under nines finished the season in fine style, hammering Halton Hornets 48-18.
David Hodgson topped the scorers with four touchdowns with Kieron Williams, Matthew Rozman, Ben Hansen, Brett Hardman, Martin Howard and Adam Thomasson all crossing the line.
Steve Madeley pulled on a Hornets shirt and was areal handful for his East team-mates.
