GORGEOUS Louise Glover (pictured) is celebrating after winning a place in the regional finals of Miss Great Britain, which will take place in November this year.
The 17-year-old was one of only 20 girls from the North West chosen from among more than 2,000 young hopefuls.
Louise, a resident at Grosvenor Housing Association's Ravenhead Foyer in St Helens, said: "I've wanted to go into modelling since I was about 12 and have been for lots of interviews with model agencies. But it's difficult to get noticed until you've done something and without a proper agent it's hard to get jobs. Hopefully, the Miss Great Britain competition will give me the exposure I need.
"The staff at the Foyer have been brilliant in supporting me and helping me to try to get a start in modelling. They helped to fix up a photoshoot with a photographer so I could put a portfolio together and the Foyer has covered all my travel costs going for interviews with model agencies."
As well as the Miss Great Britain competition, Louise has already taken part in a number of other national competitions, including The Big Breakfast's 'Find Me A Model', Sugar 2000 and the Colgate Platinum contest.
