TWO vets are preparing for the daredevil experience of a lifetime.
They're off white water rafting down the Zambezi. And it's all in aid of charity.
The plucky pair, Martha Jolly (27) and 29-year-old Rachel Taylor (29) have been based at Rutland House, Cowley Hill Lane, for a year. Martha, is specialising in feline studies, while her colleague is studying animal tissue.
Now they are planning to join 22 others from across the UK for the challenging seven-day white water rafting trip down the Zambezi in Zimbabwe in September to raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and the National Canine Defence League.
Martha told the Star: "Neither of us have ever done anything like this before but we are both really looking forward to it. It has actually been organised by the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association but we also plan to raise money for the National Canine Defence League. We will be paying for the trip out of our own money but we need to raise a minimum of £600 for the charities as well and if anyone, whether individuals or from a company, would like to sponsor us, we would be very grateful."
