By CAROL GRIFFITH Community Correspondent No more desserts for 'Two Puddings' Nick PORTLY greengrocer Nick Stratton aims to lose four stone in weight for charity.
Nick, 33, known as "Nick Two Puddings" because of his love of food, takes over as Bacup Rotary president in July and has vowed to lose the equivalent of a sack of potatoes by the new year.
He hopes to raise £500 for Rotary Charities and the Autistic Society.
At his shop in St James Street, Bacup he said: "I am determined to lose weight."
David Connor, who as Rotary vice president will be Nick's right-hand man, said: "We are all supporting him on this one. I think he's got a tough task ahead of him as I can remember the time he ate 11 profiteroles with a jug of chocolate sauce."
Nick's wife, Joanne said: "I am going to keep him strictly under control. There will certainly be no more desserts for him."
Anyone wishing to sponsor Nick can contact him on 01706 874640.
