MY husband and I are in our early 60s and we only have a small pension to live on until my husband reaches 65.
As a birthday treat we booked to see The Mikado, at the Charter Theatre. The tickets cost £17.50 each.
When we arrived for the show the theatre was practically empty. At such exorbitant prices I wasn't surprised.
In future we will see the shows at the little theatre in Market Street, which are reasonably priced and always entertaining.
