LANCASHIRE Lynx go looking for just their second victory of the campaign when they entertain in-form Oldham at Victory Park tomorrow.

Under Maurice Bamford, Lynx have steadily improved and last weekend they gave their best performance for many weeks at Workington.

Lynx were only six points adrift with 13 minutes left in the game, but as they tired Town ran four converted tries to give them a flattering winning margin.

Bamford continues to ring the changes to try and find a winning combination. Last weekend he introduced another Yorkshire amatuer, Craig Stanley, along with ex Chorley and Lynx stalwart Brendan Barr, who has returned to the club.

It is expected that more new faces will be introduced against Oldham and these could include ex Bramley players Dean Blankley and Gordon Long, who have been playing with Dudley Hill in the National Conference.

Cook Island scrum half Tiri Ioane, who is looking for experience of English conditions before the World Cup, could also features if he is granted a work permit. Oldham come to Victory Park as the current form team of the Northern Ford Premiership. They currently stand sixth in the league, just three points behind second placed Keighley after a comprehensive victory over Leigh last Sunday.

Their victory was based on a superb show by their forwards with hooker John Hough being the pick with two tries and assists in two more.

In their squad are ex Wigan players Neil Roden and Phil Farrell, both of whom had loan spells at Lynx earlier in the season. Also in their squad will be Danny Guest who was a Lynx player last season.
