A WOMAN allowed her nephew to leave two stolen prams and two stolen mountain bikes at her house.
Blackburn magistrates heard that police arrived before Michelle Jeal could get him to move them.
Jeal, 25, of Mosley Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to two charges of handling stolen goods and was fined £150 with £65 costs.
Charges of burglary and theft of the same property against Willie Carter, 32, of the same address, were withdrawn. Wendy Shackleton, prosecuting, said Jeal admitted being there when a third party left the property at the house and her account effectively put Mr Carter in the clear.
Daniel King, defending, said that when her nephew had asked could be leave the property , Jeal had said yes but told him not for long.
"Just before the police arrived she had been trying to contact him to collect the items," said Mr King.
