Window man Martin is a clear favourite WINDOW cleaner Martin Andrews proved such a hit with his customers that 20 of them nominated him for a competition to find the best washer in the North West.
Martin was eventually voted runner up in the competition organised by St Helen's Glass, and has been showered with compliments from his customers.
The three finalists were all from Lancashire and the winner was Mark O'Hanlon from Leyland while Ronnie Bentham, of Chorley, was the second runner-up.
The winner won a £1,000 holiday voucher and donated his £250 prize money to Derian House children's hospice in Chorley.
Martin received £100, champagne and a bumper supply of cleaning materials.
Martin, 35, lives with his girlfriend Amanda Woods in Livingstone Road, Wensley Fold, and is known across Blackburn and Darwen.
As well as having rounds in his home town and in Langho and Hoddlesden, he also does contract work for firms and Blackburn with Darwen Council.
Customer Ruth Harper, of Hoddlesden, said: "He has been cleaning my windows for seven years and is truly excellent."
Maxine Place, who works at Welding Engineering Limited in Darwen, said: "Every time he comes to the factory, he makes our day. He's the best."
