BUDDING young artists have been showing off their drawing and painting talents in a competition to design a striking logo for a Nelson residents' group.
RAG (Residents' Association Group) was formed two months ago by tenants in Oxford Road with a start-up grant from their housing association Space.
The company turned to local children to come up with bright ideas and a wacky logo to get the group noticed.
The design by nine-year-old Adam Anderson caught the judges' eyes and he was awarded the first prize of £10 by Space housing officer Pal Atwal and Pendle councillor Dorothy Ormrod. Six runners-up received £5 each.
RAG vice-chairman Mandy Coop said: "Oxford Road is a mix of ages and cultures. We were looking for a design that reflects this."
