THE popular Farmers' Market at Colne's Asda store has won a reprieve after store mangers found space for the monthly sales.
Local producers were despondent two weeks' ago when Asda chiefs said a re-vamp of the foyer area meant the market, held on the last weekend of each month, had to go.
Now store mangers have rescued the event by agreeing to move refrigeration units at the entrance to the store for two days each month to accommodate the traders.
The next market will be held on June 24 and 25.
