A £500,000 investment has put a metal company at the cutting edge!
Castle Metals, based on the Walker Park at Blackburn, has invested in a laser cutting machine to supply parts to the aerospace industry locally.
The American-owned firm, which set up in the UK three years, now employs 40 people at its distribution centre at Blackburn.
"The new machine means we are able to produce parts economically and to very close tolerances," explained Lee Nicklin, who looks after the firm's aerospace business.
