A BLACKBURN firm marked the start of Euro 2000 with their own match and raised £1,300 for a children's hospice.
Office furniture company Dauphin, of Peter Street, Blackburn, took on the Tom Martin Metals team, from Preston, and beat them by six goals at Shadsworth Sports Centre. Midfield player Elliot Jackson, of Dauphin, said: "There were a few sore legs the next day, but we all enjoyed ourselves."
The cash was raised through the charity football match, a pool match, raffle and sponsorship. Profits were for Derian House hospice, Chorley.
