LANCASHIRE all-rounder Joe Scuderi is looking forward to his own Euro 2000 in Scotland later this year.
Scuderi was born in Australia but qualifies for Italy, one of the countries preparing for cricket's European Championships in Edinburgh next month.
"I made sure that Lancashire would release me to play, although it could mean a lot of driving to Scotland if we do well in the NatWest," he said.
Scuderi was frustrated at Aigburth yesterday and today as heavy rain washed out the second day of the match against New Zealand A -- leaving him marooned on 12.
But the cricket was put into perspective by the sight of police and rescue helicopters flying low over and around the ground after the horrific plane crash nearby.
