CHILDREN at Westcliff Infant School in Bispham have been welcoming their new headteacher following the departure of Sandra O'Donnell.
Susan Wilson has stepped into the shoes of former headmistress Mrs O'Donnell, who recently took her retirement.
She said she aims to continue building on the high standards obtained in the school's recent OFSTED inspection report.
"Our report said Westcliff is a good school.
"The inspectors also pointed out in the report that our pupils achieve above national averages in English, Maths and Science.
"They also praised my pupils saying they are very well behaved, thoughtful, considerate and well mannered, something which I am obviously very proud of indeed."
