A SECOND all-out bus strike by Blackpool Transport workers is set to take the town's buses and trams off the road throughout the weekend of June 24 and 25.
Members of the Transport and General Workers Union (TGWU) are reported to be no longer in negotiations with transport bosses and the weekend strike is said to be definite.
Taxi firms are once again preparing for a busy few days after the last bus at midnight on Friday (June 23) makes for the Rigby Road depot.
And the next bus out is not until 6am on Monday (June 26) leaving passengers stranded without public transport over the weekend.
TGWU members including tram drivers and conductors are upset over management plans to introduce 15 new part time staff, something which they say will cut into their overtime.
Several meetings between transport bosses, union members and ACAS have already taken place over the past fortnight but no solution has yet been found.
