DEPLETED Leigh Harriers were forced to battle for their points on sunny Sunday.
Without any of their U17s squad, the team had to rely on the strength of their U15s.
Liz Heaton (2.37) and Amy Wood (3.04) both won their 800 races, while at 1500 precious points came from Amanda Fearnley, who ran second at 5.13 and Emma Morris (also second, 5.52).
In the high jump Lisa Rudd cleared 1.27 for fifth spot and Amy Crehan jumped 1.10 for second.
At long jump Amanda Fearnley cleared 3.57 for fifth while Louise McMullen claimed third on a leap of 3.53. The only senior, Carla Gregory, was fifth with a long jump of 3.59.
Carla also competed in the javelin, taking third spot with a throw of 20.79.
In the U15s javelin Emma Morris was fourth (14.81) with Lisa Rudd also fourth (8.27).
Emma also landed that fourth spot in the discus with a throw of 11.81, while in the U15s discus Ammy Wood took third spot (10.07).
In the senior discus Carla was second (20.27). Her last event, the shot, saw her finish second at 9.66.
In the U15s shot Amy Wood was third on 4.21.
With only the sprints and relays remaining, the Leigh girls had it all to do. In the 75 hurdles Louise McMullen was second with an impressive 14.9 with Amy Crehan third on 17.8.
The twosome were in tandem again in the 100 with Louise sixth on 14.6 and Amy fourth on 15.1
Liz Heaton and Amanda Fearnley took on the 200, both finishing sixth in times of 31.4 and 32.8 respectively.
The relay saw a team of Louise McMullen, Amy Crehan, Liz Heaton and Amanda Fearnley run home in fifth spot in a time of 60.2.
