NINE youngsters from Tyldesley Swimming Club hit a High Five at Everton.
They were members of the Central Lancashire team which took part in an inter-association gala at Everton Park Pool.
And, competing against squads from Bolton & District, Cumbria, Liverpool & District, Manchester & District, North Lancashire and North Midlands, they finished in fifth spot.
The Lancashire team was led by two of the Tyldesley swimmers.
Kelly Banner was the girls captain while Khalid Jhugroo was No 1 in the boys section.
Fifteen-year-old Khalid reached the finals in every one of his events.
He won the 200 backstroke, breaststroke and individual medley (all National Qualifying Times), was second in the 100 breaststroke and 400 freestyle, the latter in an NQT, was third in the 200 butterfly, fourth in the 100 backstroke and 200 freestyle and sixth in the 100 butterfly and freestyle.
Kelly, also 15, won the 200 and 400 individual medleys, both in NQTs, as well as snatching fourth in both the 100 and 200 backstroke events.
Making up the nifty nine were Michelle Greensmith, Jessica Howarth, Matthew Kearns, Sean Peers, Charlotte Steele, Samantha Thompson and Sarah Wood.
Jessica, 15, was third in both the 100 and 200 butterfly and sixth in the 100 freestyle.
In the 13-Year section 200 butterfly Samantha and Charlotte finished seventh and eighth respectively, while Sean, 15, was eighth in the 100 freestyle, a position matched by 12-year-old Matthew in the 100 breaststroke.
Michelle and Sarah, although not achieving final positions, both scored successes with PB swims.
