A TEAM of 12 Prince's Trust volunteers are aiming to refurbish Derbyshire Hill Family and Community Centre -- with a little help from generous local folk.
The volunteer course is run by St Helens College and supported by Saints skipper Chris Joynt and as part of their final qualification the 12 have to help out in the local community.
To this end they will be re-painting the centre, clearing away graffiti and rubbish inside and out, tidying the two gardens and car-park and tackling numerous odd jobs inside the building.
But they have no resources and are relying on donations of items from local businesses and the general public. They are specifically looking for toilet seats, toilet roll holders, mirrors, polyfilla, masking tape, sandpaper, dust mats, white spirit, paint brushes, coat hooks, rubber gloves and wood, although any DIY item would be appreciated.
If you would like to make a donation ring (01744) 623366.
