WILLOWBROOK Hospice is blowing the bugle in a bid to enlist more recruits in its fight to help local cancer patients.
The hospice offers free care and treatments to local people who are suffering from cancer and other life-threatening illness.
Now it has become necessary to introduce two additional beds to enhance the services which are currently available.
The hospice relies on the generosity of the public for the greater part of its running costs. To help finance this additional service, Les Johnston, the director of fund-raising is organising a house-to-house envelope collection throughout all areas of the borough and is appealing for YOUR help.
Volunteers are required to deliver envelopes to houses in their own area. Les said that he knows how generous local people can be and is confident that the collection will prove successful, providing enough people are prepared to help by delivering the envelopes.
IF you can spare a short period of time to help, please contact Les Johnston at The Hospice Campaign Office, 56 Claughton Street, tel. 01744 453798.
