HAYDOCK Park has been named as the best jumps and flat racecourse in Britain by the Times newspaper.
It's better than southern racecourses like Ascot, Sandown Park, Newbury and Kempton, said the newspaper.
And Haydock is one of the few racecourses that could put on a race meeting on the same day as The Derby - as happened last Saturday - and be able to rise to the challenge.
Picked out for special compliments by the paper, which is currently carrying out a customer survey of all Britain's 59 racecourses, were:
The racecourse's own informative TV show 'Haydock TV
The ease of access, signposting and car parking
The range of prices to suit every budget
