OH, what a morning I've had. After getting up, to my utter dismay, I found that the milkman had failed to deliver any milk again, so no cornflakes for me.
Eating my toast, I thought "Salad tonight for tea." I grow a few vegetables -- lettuce, radish, spring onions -- but when I looked at them, to my horror, slugs had enjoyed my salad during the night.
My morning paper failed to arrive on time and I had to go without it that day and, to cap it all, my wife forgot to put my usual apple in my lunch box.
