SEVEN-year-old Sarah Janicki found her book rather hair-raising.
And it's not surprising. For she is pictured being tended by Bury College hairdressing and beauty students Sasha Campbell and Narelle Ratcliffe (right).
For visitors to the usually quiet and sedate Unsworth Library were able to take advantage of a number of activities laid on by the students.
The occasion marked the re-opening of the library which had been closed since February after asbestos was discovered in the roof.
The college's catering students gave a cookery demonstration while those attached to the health and beauty course provided various treatments, including facials and manicures.
Storyteller Sarah Howell rounded off the day with a tall tale or two for the children. Refreshments were also served throughout all the sessions at the Sunny Bank Road premises.
