THREE Bury volunteers were among those who carried out a "Groundforce-style" transformation of a Manchester community centre.
They were part of a team which rolled up their sleeves to give a much needed facelift to the Copperdale Trust centre at Wythenshawe.
Taking part in the challenge were Gill Forrest from Ramsbottom and colleagues Claire Taylor and Sharon Lees, both from Bury.
The front of the centre is a popular meeting place for young people but lacks proper seating.
So, the team transformed the area by building a patio, painting boundary fences, digging out flower beds and planting conifers to provide screening.
The challenge was organised by Business in the Community as part of a series of activities aimed at developing partnerships between business and community organisations.
