PASSENGERS across East Lancashire were hit by industrial action again today as bus drivers went out on strike for the fifth time.
The dispute, which involves drivers from Stagecoach Ribble and Stagecoach Burnley and Pendle, is over a pay claim which has not been settled despite lengthy negotiations between drivers and management.
The company has written to all drivers confirming that the final offer cannot be improved.
Many services were affected though the company was hoping to run the popular Colne to Manchester bus as normal.
