A HUNGRY rat caused havoc for rail travellers during morning rush hour.
It chewed through a power cable at Lostock Hall, shuttling down a 15-mile stretch of the Preston to Blackburn line.
Dozens of trains were cancelled as British Rail workmen repaired the cable before the line was reopened just after 9am.
