POLICE in Accrington are growing increasingly concerned for the safety of a 15-year-old girl who has not been seen for more than 10 days.
Ruksana Khatun (pictured) was last seen around 9am on June 10 at Accrington railway station when security cameras filmed her boarding a train to Colne. Police believe she wanted to go to London.
Ruksana lives with her parents in Accrington and has not made contact with friends, family or police.
PC Graham Butterworth said: "We are growing concerned. It is out of character for her not to be in touch for this length of time. We would appeal to Ruksana to make contact with the police or her family to say she is safe and well."
Ruksana is Asian, 4ft 10in, of proportionate build with a very pale complexion. She has dark brown eyes and shoulder-length curly black hair. She was last seen wearing a three-quarter-length black wool jacket with a purple traditional Asian dress underneath. She was carrying a rucksack, two holdall-type bags and a silver shoulder bag.
