PEOPLE have been asked for ideas on how best to spend £30,000, at the first meeting of the Oswaldtwistle Area Council.
More than 100 people attended meeting at the town's civic theatre on Monday which followed a pilot meeting in February.
Police gave a presentation of policing in the area and issues such as juvenile nuisance and vandalism were discussed.
Chairman of Oswaldtwistle Area Council, council leader Peter Britcliffe said: "We have £30,000 to be spend in Oswaldtwistle in the next 12 months and we want people to put forward proposals for different projects.
"We are also looking for nine people to serve on the area council who will help take part in decisions which will be a revolution in local government."
