GOALKICKING half back Ian Watson returns from suspension as Swinton Lions take on York in their last home match of the season at Gigg Lane on Sunday (kick-off 3pm), writes STEVE BOTT.
Craig Randall, Sean Casey and Matt Bateman are the main worries for Swinton coach Mike Gregory, who has had a most disappointing and frustrating season with the Lions.
Forward Randall and centre Bateman have neck injuries while playmaker Casey has a knee problem and full back/winger Jason Roach is also a doubt.
However, Gregory has centre Paul Loughlin ready to come in after he missed last week's match with an ankle injury.
"I'm sorry the season is coming to an end in many ways, because I feel that we had the opportunity to do something, but we under-achieved," said Gregory.
"It's been a very disappointing campaign, considering the players we had in the squad.
"The defeat at Barrow has, once again, cost us. I feel Barrow could still make the play-offs and if we could have turned them over, who knows.
"Our players need a good kick up the backside. There might be nothing to play for now, but I certainly don't want to let things slip and I don't want to be embarrassed in our last two games," added Gregory.
York, who can look forward to next season with more optimism after recently solving their financial problems, have Gareth Lloyd (thigh) as their main doubt, but utility back Kevin Gray should be fit.
