SCHOOLCHILDREN at a Preston school enjoyed a host of tasty foreign delights during a special European week.
More than 450 boys and girls from The Roebuck School, in Inkerman Street, Ashton, swopped their butties for a selection of mouthwatering delicacies from various EU countries.
And to really get a feel for the various countries the happy school chums donned traditional dress and waved colourful flags while taking part in a string of fun activities organised by European coordinators, Jackie Wade and Rosie Gregson.
During the week the youngsters were taught various facts about EU countries including famous people, pastimes, currency, food and special landmarks.
There was also a visit from story teller Sue Smith, from the Harris Museum, a quiz day for junior children and a bread and pizza making event at Asda, in Eastway, Fulwood, who sponsored the event.
