THE comment from the county council sums up why it is taking so long to get the Marsh Community Centre off the ground. If people refuse to do anything until every other step they can think of has been taken then progress will be painfully slow.
Councillor Bob Clark is talking about selling or leasing the land to the community. The city has stumped up £200,000 for this project. The county council also has a role in providing community facilities. All we are asking is that they donate this surplus land as their contribution towards getting the centre built. Please, please will the county council start discussing this now so that we are not left waiting again for the wheels of bureaucracy to turn.
