BUDDING young stars of stage can use their school holidays to brush up on their music and drama skills thanks to the St Annes School of Music, Drama and Dance.

After the huge success of two week long summer schools last year, the dance and drama centre on Clifton Drive South have decided to hold three week long sessions this year in July and August.

Each week will have a special theme -- the first week running from July 24 when the school will be focusing on the musical Grease.

Week two, from August 7, will focus on the musical Oliver and the third session starting on August 21 will be a general talent showcase. And at the end of each week the kids will be putting on a small performance of highlights from the shows to an invited audience of parents and friends.

Mandy Young, the school's proprietor and principal said: "The youngsters loved our Stars in Their Eyes theme last year, but now they want to do bits for the musicals."

Each week runs from Monday to Friday from 9.30am-4pm, costing £75 per child and is open to youngsters aged 5-16.

Further information can be obtained by calling the school on (01253) 724120.
