A LEGAL clerk from Leyland has launched a new and updated version of his guide to fishing in Lancashire.
Keen angler Martin Salisbury's book Where to Fish: Lancashire Coarse Fisheries proved so popular that he had it reprinted with even more information than ever.
And his new definitive fishing guide has received high praise from within the industry.
With details on where to fish and where to purchase equipment, the 50,000 word book is full of information on 113 fisheries, including 105 still water sites, five rivers and three canals.
It even has a list of campsites near popular fishing locations.
Martin said: "The book also contains information like the weight and type of fish at each site, along with prices, rules and directions.
"It is a definitive guide to fishing for beginners and experienced professionals alike.
"There are also maps and pictures for many of the locations in there."
The 23-year-old, who works for Dent, Raven and Marsden solicitors in Preston, also writes for an Internet site (www.anglersnet.co.uk) about his passion. He added: "I've been fishing since I was ten years old and try to fish at least once a week.
"I often get up at 4am to go before work."
John Parrott of Ted Carter's Fishing Tackle in Church Street, Preston, revealed his admiration for both Martin's efforts and the finished product.
He said: "The book is very good; his first was cracking and this is like the mark II version which is very professional and has more information.
"I admire what he's done -- it's hard work visiting all the locations and calling around for the info in the book."
Martin's other great passion is Preston North End, in fact he first got into publishing after interviewing players and writing match reports.
The 138-page book is available from bookshops and tackle shops, priced £6.95.
