PICTURE postcard Blackpool is a town steeped in history -- and a top auction firm are coming to town to put a value on it.
Warwick and Warwick are visiting the Imperial Hotel, North Promenade on June 28 between 10-3pm and will carry out valuations on stamps, envelopes, postcards, coins and cigarette cards.
Collections of old picture postcards, such as the one seen here of an air disaster in Blackpool in 1935, can have much value, especially those which feature busy streets, trams, period dress and shop fronts.
It doesn't matter if they have been used or that the stamp is very common.
If you own an album of postcards dating from the turn of the century to the early 1950s and you want an expert appraisal then take them along.
