TOP class student rugby league comes to Leigh's Hilton Park on Sunday when the Student RL Championship of Great Britain and Ireland kicks off.
The opening game is between Wales and Ireland (1.30pm) followed at 3.30pm by England and Scotland.
Wales are a squad full of class at this level and also have a sprinkling of players with professional experience. Craig Millard, Joe Davies and Scott O'Kelly have all played in the NFP with Lancashire Lynx.
Ireland have completely rebuilt since the World Cup last October. Included in the Irish squad is Bolton-based Nick Rogers.
Ashley Carroll, from the Haydock club, will skipper Scotland against the 'auld enemy'. Coaching the England team is ex-Leigh forward Mark Knight, new Academy coach at Oldham.
St Mary's, Astley take on Orrell St Peter's in the final of the Wigan and Leigh Secondary Schools Cup Final at Hilton Park on Wednesday, June 28, kick off 6.30pm.
