A WOMAN suffered a serious sex attack when she was grabbed from behind and dragged onto a car park.
The 27-year-old was walking home from Hindley town centre in the early hours of last Saturday morning when the indecent assault took place.
Despite suffering a terrible ordeal the single woman managed to give detectives a detailed description.
He is described as a white male, 5ft 10ins tall, with dark hair, shaven at the back, longer and spiky on top. He wore a black or navy blue short sleeve shirt and beige jeans.
The victim had spent a night out with friends in Hindley and was walking down Castle Hill Road, close to the town's police station, when she was pounced upon and dragged onto a car park down Woodford Street.
Det Chief Insp Ian Hilton, from Leigh CID, said: "The woman was then subjected to a serious indecent assault.
"She screamed and struggled and eventually managed to run away."
