A COLOURFUL journey through history formed the magnificent effort of this week's Little Champions.
Pupils from Heyhouses Primary Junior School in St Annes represented 1,000 years of British history in music, dance and drama at a special concert called A Romp through the Millennium recently.
It proved a huge success and hundreds of parents enjoyed the three performances of the show.
Proceeds from a raffle and refreshments raised a superb £150 for the Macmillan Windmill Appeal.
Everything from the Elizabeth 1 and Shakespeare to The Beatles and Rock n' Roll were celebrated in the show as more than 200 pupils donned an array of colourful costumes.

Heyhouses head teacher Clive Barnes said: "We do a concert every summer and thought we would do something special for the Millennium so we decided to open it to more children. "All the Year 4 and 5 pupils took part and it worked well starting with 1066 and the Battle of Hastings, going right up to 1999.
"All the parents enjoyed it and the children enjoyed taking part. We had a full house at each of the three performances and we had turn quite a few away.
"We will use proceeds from ticket sales to buy musical instruments but the rest of the money raised will go to the Macmillan Windmill Appeal."
NO mountain was high enough for nine members of Lytham Round Table who raised more than £4,500 for the appeal. They completed the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the highest peaks in Scafell Pike, Snowdon and Ben Nevis - and all within 24 hours!
Chairman Glenn Oldroyd said: "It was a splendid achievement for all nine walkers to successfully complete the challenge.
"They each walked 27 miles and climbed 1.8 miles. I must thank the four drivers who made the 400 mile round trip.
FUN for all the family can be had at a summer fair in aid of the appeal at Retriever Cottage, Little Tongues Lane, Preesall on June 25 starting at 2pm.
A puppet show, children's entertainers, bouncy castles and face painters and much more will be on offer at the fair.
