IT will be a case of back to the future for two of the management team when the new Morrisons supermarket in Boundary Road opens its doors on Monday, June 26.
For both regional director, Mark Harrison and the new store's general manager, Jim Toohey, hail from St Helens and began their careers with the national supermarket chain in their home town.
Thirty-five-year-old Jim, from Derbyshire Hill, formerly manager at the Chingford branch in Essex, is delighted to be back in St Helens. He said: "I am sure everyone here will be impressed with the new store and we have all been working hard to get everything ready for opening."
The new store is one of 24 throughout the North West for which 36-year-old Mark, from Dentons Green, has responsibility. He said: "I have seen many changes in my 21 years with the company and it is great to spend so much time in St Helens developing the new store."
