MANCHESTER Storm Ice Hockey Club have secured the services of Corey Spring, a 6ft 2in defence-man who originates from British Columbia, Canada.

Twenty-nine-year-old Corey weighs 220lb and has an impressive background, having played for the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.

A familiar face has also confirmed his return for a fourth season at the 'Storm Shelter'. Troy Neumeier has made a complete recovery from a shoulder injury which forced him out of the Storm's title defence last season.

Commenting on both players, Terry Christensen (general manager/coach) said: "Corey is a right wing who will add size and strength to the Storm line-up. He has played in the NHL and will add a tremendous level of experience and talent, and will be a strong addition to our team.

"We are also very excited to have Troy back. He has been a top class performer for the Manchester Storm, and has established himself as one of the best defenders in the Superleague. Troy has been working hard all summer, and has fully recovered from the injury he suffered last season."
