The Lancashire Tourism Partnership reported that many an amorous couple had taken up the "Love Trail" around Lancashire, which takes in parts of the Ribble Valley.
After launching the trail on National Kissing Day -- July 6 -- tourism chiefs have reported its huge success and are keen to promote the route, which takes in Hoghton Tower, near Preston, the Ribble Valley and culminates with a wild ride -- at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
"Couples used National Kissing Day to explore new and surprising parts," said Anthony Goldstone, chairman of the Lancashire Tourism Partnership. And Lancashire has many attractions which are sure to make the earth move."
