Burnley reserves drew 2-2 at Ramsbottom United last night thanks to a late equaliser from young trialist Nathan Wharton.
Ramsbottom went ahead when David Yorke-Robinson provided a neat finish from a tight angle after 36 minutes.
However, the Clarets were level before the break thanks to a towering header from central defender Matty Heywood.
Dave Gardiner restored Ramsbottom's lead on the hour but Wharton ensured honours finished even when he ran onto a through-ball to slot home the leveller five minutes from time.
Burnley starting line-up: Mawson, West, Smith, Brass, Armstrong, Heywood, Harrison, Jepson, Shandran, Lee, Oakes. Subs: Scott, Devenney, Williamson, Kevan, Boardman, Wharton, Paxton.
