A TEENAGER is desperate for the return of her pet parrot, which flew the nest on Friday night. Antonia Church, 16, of Longsight Road, Clayton-le-Dale, is hoping that someone will have heard her chattering blue-fronted Amazon, called Wesley. Her mother, Ann, said that Wesley escaped after he was taken outside in his cage.
He was seen on the roof of the Royal Oak pub, Longsight Road, Mellor, on Friday night and at the Oaks Bar traffic lights in Salesbury on Sunday. His green plumage makes him hard to spot in trees,
Mrs Church said: "He chatters away and often says 'hello Wesley' and 'are you all right?' He also reacts to his name." Anyone with any information can ring Mrs Church on 01254 247014.
