A PATIENT sneaked into two doctors' surgeries and helped himself to two computer keyboards, Burnley magistrates heard.
The court was told how Shaun Ross, 32, had gone to the St Nicholas Health Centre, Saunders Bank, Burnley, to make an appointment, but ended up taking the haul home and putting the stolen goods in his bedroom.
Ross, of Scott Street, Burnley, was fined £90, with £65 costs, after admitting burglary.
Andy Robinson, prosecuting, told the court police found the keyboards after searching the defendant's house. Ross told them he knew what he did was wrong, was sorry, but he had been under the influence of drugs.
John Greenwood, defending, said the keyboards had no value at all and could not be sold. Ross had sneaked into the two rooms. Police visited his home later that day and he had pleaded guilty at the first opportunity.
