RESIDENTS are being sought to have a say in their environment.
Haslingden Environment Trust and Groundwork Rossendale are calling a meeting tonight to work with locals on a proposed project idea in their area.
From earlier meetings and site visits the Haslingden Environment Trust has chosen an area on an estate in Broadway. The area is already well used by local youngsters and the trust wants to build on that making it safer and a lot more fun.
Potential designs include re-surfacing the area, erecting a fence, building a kick-wall and planting a host of trees and flowers.
A spokesman for the Haslingden Environment Trust said the well established group was dedicated to carrying out, promoting and encouraging environmental improvements and awareness in Haslingden. One of their most recent projects was the Charles Lane Woodland and Allotment improvements, in Haslingden.
The meeting is to be held tonight at the Ravencroft Community Centre, Helmshore at 7.30pm.
