IT IS obvious S King (Letters, July 31) is not fully informed of the alternative to full pedestrianisation of Church Street in Blackburn and has not studied schemes in other towns.
The alternative to Blackburn with Darwen Council's proposal for Church Street, which has been named the third way, meets with all that is required to obtain the European funding.
The third way also allows for all the things Mrs King asks for and all the renovation work which is required.
I also work in Blackburn and do most of my shopping in Blackburn and I lived in Accrington for 50 years, so I know the area as well as Mrs King.
The well-being of Blackburn to me is very important and the third way has something for everyone.
The Council's regeneration package is good and the third way on Church Street would make it better.
