ONCE again Chris Davies irrationally attempts to slur anybody that does not believe in the European Community and its institutions. Sadly I was too young to vote in the referendum but was then, and still am, involved in various campaigns for freedom from Brussels. Never in that time have I heard anybody accuse the EU of being a Vatican plot or a Jewish conspiracy.
To liken his opponents to members of a weird religious sect merely underlines what many of us know already, namely that the EU and its well subsidised supporters will stoop to any depths in order to stifle true debate.
They continually try to depict their opponents as lunatic extremists even though the latest polls show an ever increasing majority of people in the UK now oppose membership of the EU.
The constant drip, drip of sub standard propaganda emanating from Mr Davies merely underlines the awareness of the EU gravy train passengers that the British public and increasing numbers in other European countries, have finally seen the EU for what it is and want out.
It is no co-incidence that the two wealthiest countries in Europe are Norway and Switzerland. Meanwhile we struggle to find funding for local projects while Mr Brown's ever-increasing tax revenue disappears via the EU to Ireland, Spain, Greece and elsewhere.
Perhaps it says something of the calibre of MEPs that Mr Davies waited until he was elected to learn how the EU actually works and he has still got it wrong!
