A FLEETWOOD nurse just can't make up her mind about what she wants to do in life.
But that's the point of a new "job-swap" scheme designed to stop what the health services call "the steady haemorrhaging" of nurses from the profession by letting them try out different jobs and boosting enthusiasm.
And Cheryl Gillott (pictured) from Rossall Hospital, Westway, has just finished her week's placement with a local district nurse as a change from working in the day room. "It was suggested to me by my supervisor that I take part in this scheme," said Cheryl.
"The day room shares the responsibility of caring for some of the patients with the district nursing department and so was a great opportunity to improve liaisons between the departments.
"I was really surprised to find out how much I enjoyed it, and now I am thinking of taking district nursing up full time."
