SCHOOL'S out for summer and up to 800 local children have been having bags of fun as part of the council's summer playschemes.
The Council team of 59 staff and 30 volunteers have been busy organising 12 different activities everyday including mini-Olympics, fashion shows, trips out and fund-raising events.
One of the co-ordinators, Community Leisure Officer, John Tuer, said: "A lot of children get bored during the long summer holidays and we organise lots of interesting and fun events to keep them occupied. Play is a very important part of a child's development."
