KEN Wright, manager of UniBond Division One team Chorley, brings his full first team squad down to the News Sirs ground of Daisy Hill on Tuesday, August 8, kick off 7pm.
Assistant manager Brian Smith said: "It will be a great experience for our young players to compete against a higher standard of player, and the experience should benefit them greatly in the long term.
"Our lads are really looking forward to the match as one or two of them have aspirations of competing at a higher level and this will be a great test for them.
"The pre-season training and matches have gone well, and Brian Richardson and myself are looking forward to a much improved season in the Northern Counties League Division Two.
"The following Tuesday, on August 15, we will play a Bolton Wanderers U19s Academy side kick off 7pm.
"This will be another great test for the lads and we are hoping that the local Daisy Hill and Westhoughton folk will come on down and give us their support.
"This Saturday both our first and second team squads will be playing up at Northern Counties Division One side Fleetwood Freeport.
"We were looking for some difficult pre-season matches to test the strength and depth of our squad, and the Fleetwood, Chorley, and Bolton matches will offer us some extremely tough opposition.
"Our league programme kicks off on the Saturday, August 19, with Blackpool Mechanics the visitors to New Sirs."
