BEN SCOTT is believed to be the first player to have won the Harry Ryden Trophy and the ELGA Junior Championship in the same season after clinching the second title at Green Howarth yesterday.
The Burnley player fired a 66 to equal the course record of Danny Chamberlain and lift the trophy.
However, he was pushed all the way by defending champion Ashley Siddle on a day of superb scoring.
Rossendale's Siddle carded a 67 to miss out by just one stroke, while 15-year-old Blackburn prospect James Pearce was two strokes further back in the third.
The nett prize was won by Mytton Fold's James Chadwick with 81-24-57, ahead of Accrington's Richard Chaplow who returned a score of 73-12-61. John Keranbrum of Blackburn was third after carding a 86-24-62.
